Panerai Submersible Elux LAB-ID Concept Watch

Panerai has unveiled a revolutionary addition to their lineup: the Submersible Elux LAB-ID PAM01800. This remarkable timepiece is the culmination of eight years of rigorous research and development at their Manufacture in Neuchâtel. As a concept watch, it serves as a showcase for Panerai’s cutting-edge innovations, evidenced by four dedicated patent applications. At the heart of the Elux LAB-ID lies its exceptional luminescence and visibility, designed to perform in every light condition. This is achieved through the innovative Power Light function, which can be activated on demand for a total duration of 30 minutes. By simply opening the patented pusher-protector system and pressing the dedicated pusher located at the 8 o’clock position, the watch illuminates its 12 indexes, patented hands, and the dot on the unidirectional rotating bezel. The linear power reserve indicator at the 6 o’clock position on the dial provides a visual display of the remaining energy available for lighting the watch. “Elux,” short for ‘elettroluminescenza’ (electroluminescence), is a nod to a technology historically patented by Panerai on June 15, 1966. Originally, Elux referred to retro-illuminated panels with electroluminescence technology, developed to enhance the luminescence of naval instruments used by the Italian Navy. With a limited production run of only 150 pieces, the Submersible Elux LAB-ID PAM01800 is truly unique. To explore more about this extraordinary watch, visit Panerai.

Hautlence Retrovision ’47 Limited Edition Watch

The surprising answer to what Hautlence watches might have looked like before TVs existed is captured in their Retrovision ’47 model. This timepiece is essentially a radio converted into a wristwatch, handcrafted to mimic the appearance of a 1940s Bakelite broadcast receiver. The Retrovision ’47 takes design cues from the 1940s General Television & Radio Corp. Model 5A5, featuring a hand-painted case in a marbled green finish. On the front, the watch displays two primary elements: a small rectangular time display dial on the right and a polished grade 23 titanium speaker grill on the left. The dial is plated in gold and finished with vertical brushing, accented by black Super-LumiNova numerals and Hautlence’s signature Möbius pattern. The bright red hands are a nod to the vintage radio’s dial, while the tourbillon, visible under the speaker grill, is surrounded by gray Super-LumiNova radio waves that glow green, matching the hour markers. The Retrovision ’47 is powered by the D20 in-house automatic double hairspring flying tourbillon movement, offering a power reserve of 72 hours. The movement beats at a frequency of 3Hz and consists of 176 components. This unique and eye-catching timepiece is limited to just 10 pieces worldwide, priced exclusively at CHF 60,000. Find out more in the video below and at Hautlence.

Longines Pilot Majetek Pioneer Edition Watch

The Longines Pilot Majetek collection has recently welcomed a new member: the “Pioneer Edition” in Grade 5 titanium, limited to 1,935 pieces. This edition draws inspiration from the original Majetek aviator’s watch, which was supplied to the Czechoslovakian air force in the 1930s. The watch gets its nickname from the engraving on the back of the military-issue originals: “Majetek Vojenské Správy,” which translates to “Property of the Military.”

The “Pioneer Edition” maintains the design, dimensions, and movement of its stainless steel counterpart. It is powered by the exclusive Longines calibre L893.6, a movement known for its precision and innovative features. This calibre is equipped with a silicon balance-spring, offering enhanced resistance to magnetism and contributing to the watch’s remarkable accuracy. With a power reserve of up to 72 hours, the movement ensures long-lasting performance. Additionally, the entire watch is chronometer-certified by the COSC, underscoring its high level of accuracy and reliability. The watch comes with a black technical fabric strap that complements its robust design. The package is completed with a special Heritage box in the same colour and more details can be found at Longines.
