The Reverso was created in 1931 with a swivelling case designed to protect the dial while playing polo. Its rectangular proportions and Art Deco styling have since made it one of the most recognisable watch designs ever produced.
The collection ranges from simple manually wound models to Duoface watches with a second dial and additional time zone. More complicated Reversos can incorporate calendars, moonphases, tourbillons and other high-watchmaking features.
Case dimensions vary considerably across Reverso references. The stated width and length should therefore be considered together rather than comparing diameter in the same way as a conventional round watch.
The Master Control collection combines classical round cases with automatic movements and complications including dates, calendars, chronographs and geographic displays.
Introduced in 1992, the collection takes its name from Jaeger-LeCoultre’s 1,000-hour testing programme, which evaluates the completed watch rather than only the uncased movement.

The modern Polaris collection draws inspiration from the Memovox Polaris of 1968, which combined a diving-oriented case with a mechanical alarm.
