Choosing a Pre-Owned TUDOR Watch

TUDOR combines practical Swiss watchmaking with designs rooted in diving, exploration and motorsport. Buying pre-owned opens up a much wider selection, including current models, discontinued references, earlier movement configurations and editions that are no longer readily available new.

The exact reference matters. Watches within the same collection can differ considerably in size, movement, bracelet, water resistance and how they wear. Condition, originality and completeness should therefore be considered alongside the model name.

TUDOR Black Bay

The Black Bay is TUDOR’s most recognisable modern collection. Its snowflake hands, prominent crown and vintage-inspired details draw from the brand’s historic dive watches, while modern references provide contemporary movements and construction.

The range includes the compact Black Bay 54, the popular 39mm Black Bay 58, GMT models, chronographs and larger 41mm references. This variety makes the Black Bay particularly suitable for buyers looking for a versatile everyday TUDOR.

TUDOR Pelagos and Pelagos FXD

The Pelagos takes a more technical approach. Titanium construction, highly legible dials and purpose-built diving features give it a distinctly modern tool-watch character.

The conventional Pelagos, Pelagos 39 and fixed-bar Pelagos FXD offer different wearing experiences. The FXD has particularly strong links to military diving watches, while the Pelagos 39 provides a more compact option for everyday use.

Heritage Chronographs and Other TUDOR Models

TUDOR’s range extends beyond the Black Bay and Pelagos. Heritage Chronographs revisit the colourful racing watches of the 1970s, while discontinued models such as the Fastrider and North Flag show more experimental sides of the brand.

The Ranger offers a simpler field-watch design, while the TUDOR Royal combines an integrated bracelet with a more refined sports-watch appearance. Availability on the pre-owned market varies, making unusual references especially worth considering when they appear.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the TUDOR watches shown physically in stock?

Yes. Every TUDOR available to purchase is physically held in stock by MVS Watches. We do not advertise watches on consignment or pre-sell stock held by an unrelated third party.

Is TUDOR good value when purchased pre-owned?

TUDOR can offer strong value on the pre-owned market because many references are available below their original or current retail prices. Buying pre-owned also provides access to discontinued watches, earlier configurations and limited editions that may no longer be available through authorised retailers.

What is the difference between a TUDOR Black Bay and Pelagos?

The Black Bay combines vintage-inspired dive-watch styling with modern construction and is generally the more versatile everyday option. The Pelagos is a more technical tool watch, frequently using titanium and prioritising low weight, legibility and professional diving features.

What is a TUDOR manufacture movement?

TUDOR manufacture calibres are modern mechanical movements developed for the brand’s principal collections. Depending on the calibre, features can include COSC chronometer certification, approximately 70 hours of power reserve, silicon balance springs and free-sprung balances. Some newer references also carry METAS Master Chronometer certification.

Do your pre-owned TUDOR watches include a warranty?

Every TUDOR is supplied with a 12-month MVS warranty. Some watches may also retain part of their original manufacturer warranty, which will be stated on the individual product listing where applicable.
