The engravings “APOLLO 8, DEC 1968”, “DARK SIDE OF THE MOON”, and “WE’LL SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE” on the caseback reference the historic moment Apollo 8 became the first crewed spacecraft to orbit the moon and lose radio contact as it passed behind it.
